25/7 Game On X YMCA KPCC Tennis Summer Event

It was my first time volunteering at events held by game on and it was super enjoyable.

The weather was actually quite hot but the kids persevered through and remained active through the session. The session partly focused on hitting volleys and the beginners also adapted to the new techniques quickly after some guidance. Watching

them develop and progress through was rewarding.

Some kids were even able to rally from the baseline which was amazing. They were focused, concentrated and followed our instructions throughout both the warm up and cool down as well.

Introducing the drills to the kids and leading them has allowed me to future develop effective communication skills. Working alongside the other volunteers made me realise how important teamwork is, as the session wouldn’t have been a success otherwise.
